Footwear Lacoste Style

January 5th, 2012 by Pete Manhire
Marcel MB Trainers

The new Marcel MB trainers by Lacoste in striking blue and white

If you are a regular to our site you will im sure of noticed that we have a massive range of Lacoste footwear for your pleasure. This year makes no exception, ranging from slip on plimsolls to heavy duty hiking boots later in the year. I’m sure if you love Lacoste we have something to suit your needs, or if you’re like me and prefer more of an ‘alternative’ range of clothing you may find yourself pleasantly surprised with this selection.

I’ll be the first to admit that although they are an amazing brand Lacoste aren’t particularly my taste but the shoes you can see in the picture to your left changed my opinion. It’s the subtle little things like stitching quality and contrast tongue, cushioned insole and the attention to detail that really got me liking these shoes.

Just proves that no one can resist a good pair of shoes, regardless of brand.

I digress, with our first batch of new Lacoste footwear in and on our website they can be viewed and evaluated at your leisure. So basically you don’t have to just take my word for it. More and more will be added through out the year so don’t forget to check back. Alternatively sign up to our newsletter just to make sure you don’t miss out on our new ranges.

Printed Tees are Dead Cuckoo

December 31st, 2011 by Pete Manhire

Printed tees have always been in style, their simplistic manner caters to any person and slips in neatly to any outfit. As you may have noticed they are springing up everywhere nowadays. With everyone trying to get their piece it may seem difficult to get an original garment, well guess what we’ve got for you; Dead Legacy and Cuckoo’s Nest.

You’re Welcome!

Now you may look at those two names and not know an awful lot about either of them but don’t let that put you off. With their truly individual prints Dead Legacy put an American spin on an English born brand giving a never seen before look. With their slim fits and distressed finishes their t-shirts are a tremendous addition to any lacklustre wardrobe.

Where as Cuckoo’s Nest create distressed abstract pieces designed to entice and distract. With their mix of colour and ‘cut up’ prints Cuckoo’s Nest have attracted a fair few celebrity followers. Ranging from our fellow Brits JLS, to international DJ’s Kodex and Tiesto. Not bad for a brand that’s just really starting to announce itself. Very tongue in cheek sometimes, Cuckoo’s Nest clothing doesn’t shy away, instead preferring statement making pieces that tell a story of their brilliant design team’s inner monologue.

So whether you fancy yourself a bit Cuckoo, or Dead Legacy appeals more to your style get them here from us at The Menswear Site

Judas Sinned – Again!

December 28th, 2011 by Pete Manhire
Judas Sinned

Peter Andre has been spotted on numerous occasions sporting Judas Sinned.

Ahhhh here we are again back to one of this writers favourite and one of our newest brands Judas Sinned. Its good to be back.

In our brief time with Judas Sinned we’ve seen significant interest hence the second post. I felt like I would focus more on the social aspect this time around however. Numerous celebrities have been spotted in Judas Sinned the most noteworthy being Peter Andre. He seems to live in it, which to us is fantastic there’s nothing better than seeing brands you love all over the news (positive news of course).

I myself have just purchased a Cherub Cross t-shirt in white, I saw it and I just knew had to have it. Although I of course don’t carry the same following as Mr Andre but it does have a noticeable effect. We as many others rely on word of mouth to promote our clothing, that is why blogs exist.

Judas Sinned is an intriguing brand regardless of your social or ethnic background or your physique Judas Sinned can look good on you (the physique part of that sentence resounds with me) the point is you don’t have to be any sort of stereotype to be comfortable in Judas Sinned.

Its a fantastic addition to our profile and I hope it keeps growing!

Judas Sinned Motto:

Sin has one end: the satisfaction of desire that comes with a price.

No sleep for the wicked. Live hard, fast, and seal every deal with a kiss.

Welcome, disciple. You are in good company; Judas Sinned is a growing multitude.

UK born and built to bare; the devil is in the detail. Our threads are tailored to fit the body, with distressed and crafted finishes.

Now for the commandments: A cut above the rest; in this modern world of myth and myrrh, he who betray style shall never succeed.

The sinned don’t wait for life to deal their cards; don’t forsake your potential.

By assassins he was made and in pursuit of life’s riches met his end.

Happy Socks Make Happy Feet!

December 14th, 2011 by Pete Manhire

Happy Socks Tree Formed in Sweden in the Spring of 2008 Happy Socks put a seemingly unnecessary spin on an everyday essential. It may sound redundant I mean who’s going to see them right?… wrong these socks demand to be noticed and they deserve to be.

The funky patterns and colours are the visual brilliance of Happy Socks but the true brilliance lies in the design and wear quality of these simple little marvels.

Created from the ground up by two men Viktor Tell and Mikael Söderlindh Happy Socks is a stand-out brand that have managed to turn the banality of  socks into a fashion accessory you must have. Viktor’s motto of  ‘all play, no work’ most accurately describes what Happy Socks are really all about transforming an everyday item to a fun and expressive success story.

Having done numerous collaborations with other brands including Barneys New York, Be@rbrick, Globe Trotter and Wood Wood, Happy Socks have already got a nice little following behind them.

We are proud to say we have just received our own range of Happy Socks that we are offering to our customers (for a small fee of course). The only true sock designer worth mentioning and we have them! Would you expect any less from us?

A few celebs are popping up donning themselves with Happy Socks two noteworthy mentions are Gwen Stefani (No Doubt) and Rami Shabaan ( former Arsenal FC goalkeeper)

Lyle & Scott – Loving Vintage

December 12th, 2011 by Pete Manhire

Lyle & ScottLyle & Scott are as you’re all probably aware is not a new brand but it is a major one especially on our shores.

Formed in 1874 Lyle & Scott started by producing an exclusive cashmere collection with Christian Dior who are not a bad brand to team up with straight off of the bat. It took 86 years after originally being founded for the iconic eagle logo that we are all familiar with to actually come into fruition.

Following on from their early and continued success Lyle & Scott offered up their first golf range in 1968 as they attended their first open championship. From then until now Lyle & Scott have just increased in popularity and now you can see that golden eagle everywhere you look.

Ted Baker

December 6th, 2011 by Pete Manhire

Ted Baker

Ted Baker are a thoroughly brilliant brand, from their humble beginnings as a shirt specialist in Glasgow. They quickly rose to become the place to buy the very best in men’s shirting.

Very much devoted to quality over all else Ted Baker’s clothing is as simple as it is fantastic, with heart and soul embroidered into every piece. Not so much blood, sweat and tears more love, care and cheers (cheesy but hey ho)! With their quirky sense of humour Ted Baker are always factoring in little twists wherever they can (without diluting integrity of course) even down to their gift boxes.

Did you know the first Ted Baker stores ever had a laundry service for every one of their shirts purchased? It’s little touches like that that set Ted Baker apart and gave them the ‘No Ordinary Designer Label’ title. Fantastic for all occasions Ted Baker proves that us Brits know true style when we see it.

What other brand could receive such acclaim after only using world of mouth and out of the ordinary marketing? Think about it when was the last time you saw a massive poster or billboard for Ted Baker, but I bet you still know who they are! Whilst their clothing is traditional their methods are not and that’s why they stand out, what other label could give away Paxo stuffing at Christmas?

We….. actually i’m going to say it I love Ted Baker, I think their clothing is fantastic and unique in a way that makes you feel special.

We have just received our Autumn/Winter stock from Ted Baker and it brings with it a whole new flavour. Namely the gift sets, perfect for him for Christmas or Tuesday! Check out all of our Ted Baker here and remember ‘Ted Loves You Baby’

Judas Sinned

November 23rd, 2011 by Pete Manhire

Judas SinnedJudas sinned is the newest addition to our brand profile and we’re happy to see it. Already worn by celebrities and people in the public eye (the only way is Essex cast) Judas Sinned comes with a healthy backing.

Judas Sinned has its roots firmly in UK soil, mixing together their own unique view on modern day rock music with a slightly religious edge, giving Judas Sinned their own unique flavour. With elements of tattoo art across the range setting it apart from otherwise similar brands.

Using high quality materials JS hand make their clothes with distressed edges for a unique finish to every single item, making sure no two are exactly alike. Putting extra effort into the style and fits of their clothing JS create items that fit snug and flatter the body.

Add a little attitude to your wardrobe this season.

With rock influenced clothing becoming more and more popular these days its getting easier to be ‘on trend’ and that means you could get complacent. I say better to be ahead of the game then just sat in the middle, that’s where Judas Sinned comes in. Why be a sheep?
