Lacoste has been at the forefront of sports inspired fashion clothing for nearly 80 years. The company was founded in 1933 by legendary French tennis player Rene Lacoste alongside Andre Gillier who was already in the designer menswear industry.
They started out by creating tennis t-shirts very similar to the Lacoste Polo Shirts seen today which were made from a cotton mesh and featured the now famous crocodile logo to the left breast. The company soon expanded its range to include clothing for Golf and Sailing.
Lacoste Trainers form part of the company’s footwear range which include the Graduate, Europa, Prep and Observe styles and have perfectly captured the balance of the needs of a sport shoe with the style of designer trainers.
